If You Had 30 Days To Live

It's easy to loose your focus in life... get caught up in the mundane and just blur through life in a vapid existence.

In the video below (taken from a series called 30 Days To Live at Lifechurch.tv) a young woman who is terminal gives some wisdom on living.

I agree that it's important to not just drift through life, to have goals, build relationships and not waste it. But I think it is also important that we accept that sometimes, it is ok to just 'be'. To function at our peak effectiveness we need to take time out. Think of recent studies on 'power naps'. Some would think that letting employees sleep during work hours results in less time to accomplish the work. Not true. Studies have found those who do 'power nap' are more productive and accomplish more. It is so important to recharge our batteries and have moments where we just rest. Ultimately, by living a wise balance, we accomplish most.

I agree... life is all about balance!
That is what the Sabbath is all about... working hard and then resting hard.
